Session Overview Summary
The Session Overview Summary reorganises flow, main themes, and emotional tone in language aligned with the selected theoretical frame. It helps the clinician answer 'what was discussed?'—not diagnosis or prognosis.
This section may use narrative mode: a coherent story without mandatory citations for every sentence, yet no invented events, names, or off-transcript facts.
In multi-speaker sessions, the summary distinguishes contributions after roles are assigned. Couple and family sessions highlight interaction cycles; individual sessions foreground inner process.
The summary supports clinical decision-making; it does not replace emergency risk assessment. The clinician compares it with the transcript and edits as needed.
No medication, legal, or forensic opinion appears. Spiritual interpretation is not imposed.
PsychSupervisor includes this heading in the standard report skeleton; emphasis shifts with the chosen approach.
The section does not diagnose, prescribe, offer legal opinion, or direct emergency care. Risk wording appears only when clearly present in the transcript; triage and safety planning remain professional duties. Outputs support records and supervision as decision support rather than replacing clinical reasoning.
